Admission Procedure

Steps
  • Step 1: Admission Notification – The University announces the admission cycle on its website, notice boards, and other public platforms. The University conducts entrance tests for the Ph.D. Programme twice in an academic year.
  • Step 2: Application Submission – Fill out the application form with accurate details. Attach all required documents. Applications can be submitted online through the official Raisoni Education website.
  • Step 3: Entrance Examination (PET) – Candidates must appear for the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the University unless exempted.
PET Details: Total Marks: 100 marks (MCQ), Duration: 90 minutes, Syllabus: 50% Research Methodology, 50% Subject-specific (Physics)
  • Step 4: Exemption from Entrance Examination – Candidates who have cleared the following national-level tests shall be exempted from the PET but will still be required to appear for the Personal Interview: UGC NET (JRF) / CSIR NET, GATE, SET / SLET, ICMR, DBT, DST-INSPIRE, NBHM fellowships.
  • Step 5: Personal Interview – Shortlisted candidates from the entrance examination (or exempted candidates) will be called for a Personal Interview.
  • Step 6: Final Selection – Selection is based on the combined performance in the entrance test (if applicable) and personal interview. Most universities allocate 70% weightage to entrance exam scores and 30% to interview performance.
  • Step 7: Enrollment Confirmation – After selection, candidates must submit all required documents and pay the prescribed fees to receive enrollment confirmation.
