Among the oldest branches of Engineering, Mechanical is also one of the most desired ones. A B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering enables Graduates to develop analytical, problem solving and innovative skills in machines. Subsequently, the program also trains students in managing projects and people that deal with machines. The most exciting part of pursuing a B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is that it allows students to understand and study machines with their innovative minds and imagine new devices that will make life easier for humankind.
Mechanical Engineering is a field that requires thorough knowledge and understanding to implement the learnings in a real-world setting. We at GHRU are very well aware of this and promote practical-based learning and curriculum development to help our students develop the best possible understanding of machines.
In the first year of B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, the students learn the basics of Engineering and Mechanics and subjects like Math, English, etc. This helps build a strong core early on and gives students ample time to get accustomed to the college environment. Furthermore, GHRU believes that redoing the basics helps students mentally and academically excel at the program. Along with the basics, and academically introducing Mechanical Engineering to the students.
Subsequently, in the second year, students learn about Applied Mechanics, Materials, Thermodynamics, Manufacturing, and many more. By the time of the third year, students already know enough about Machines to initiate further knowledge. That’s when they’re introduced to Machine Drawing, Design Optimization, Product Development and Industrial Engineering, among others. This solidifies their understanding of Machines and Materials. In the final year of the program, students learn Control System Engineering, Automation, Power Plant Engineering and Industrial Robotics, among others. These new-generation technologies help them become industry ready before a 6-month internship in the industry.
