CAP Registration Process is Underway!
Students aspiring to study Engineering are well aware of the tedious CAP Rounds. We
understand how exhilarating yet tiresome this process can be, and we're here to
guide
you through it.
This blog will help you understand how to fill a CAP Form, what documents you will
need
and the eligibility criteria for applying for the CAP Round.
BE and BTech admissions are strictly done through CAP rounds. For starters, CAP
stands
for Centralised Admission Process and is important for BE and BTech admissions.
Students
are needed to fill out CAP Application forms to get admission in a technical college
of
their choice.
Note: Candidates who have appeared for MHT CET 2024 are not required to pay
the
application form fee. But candidates who have not appeared for MHT CET but have
appeared
for JEE- MAINS 2024 are required to pay the application form fees.
Fees payment is to be done online through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking. Any
other
mode of payment is restricted.
Important Instructions for Candidates
- Application forms for applying for the CAP Rounds are to be filled online only.
- Review your filled data and check if all the documents are uploaded carefully.
- After confirming and submitting the form, take a printout and carefully check if
all the filled
data is correct. Sign the application form as well.
- It's important to remember that information cannot be changed once a form is
submitted.
Eligibility
Eligibility for Maharashtra state candidates
- The striving candidate must be a Citizen of India.
- Students must have passed their HSC exam. They must have taken Maths and Physics
as their
compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biology.
- A Candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% in the HSC exam.
- Candidates must have passed their Diploma or HSC from a recognised school or
university in
Maharashtra.
- Candidates must have a Non-Zero positive score in MHT CET.
- For Second-Year BTech admissions, candidates can get admissions through the
Lateral Entry
Scheme.
Eligibility for All-India Candidates
- The striving candidate must be a citizen of India.
- Students must have passed their HSC exam. They must have taken Maths and Physics
as their
compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biology.
- They must have scored a minimum of 50% in the HSC exam.
- Candidates from any state can apply for BTech admissions in Maharashtra.
- Candidates must have a Non-Zero positive score in MHT CET.
- For Second-Year BTech admissions, candidates can get admissions through the
Lateral Entry
Scheme.
Eligibility for NRI/ OCI/ PIO. CIWGC, FN Candidates
- Students must have passed their HSC exam or any equivalent exam. They must have
taken Maths and
Physics as their compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biology.
- They must have obtained at least 50% marks in the HSC or equivalent exams in the
above-stated
subjects.

How to fill the CAP Form
- 1. It's compulsory to fill the online option form to participate in CAP round 1.
- 2. Go to the website
www.cetcell.mahacet.org and find the BE/Btech option in the
Undergraduate Courses Column
on the left side of the webpage.

- 3. Click on the BE/BTech option and click on the New Registration option.
- 4. Click on the yes button if you have appeared for MHT CET 2024.

- 5. Then fill in your MHT CET 2024 Application Number, MHT CET Roll Number and
your Date of Birth
and click on the check CET Results button

- 6. Below they will view your MHT CET Scores. Verify your result and check if the
information is
accurate.
- 7. If any candidate has not appeared for MHT CET, they can further choose from
the other three
options. Select Yes if a candidate has appeared for that exam and fill in the
required details.

- 8. The Registration form opens, and candidates are required to fill in their
personal details as
required.

- 9. Candidates are required to fill in their communication details in the next
step.

- 10. The next step will require candidates to select a password as per the given
instructions,
click on save and proceed, and create an account.

- 11. Following the previous step, candidates will receive an OTP on the Mobile
Number Mentioned
on the form. Enter the OTP Once you receive it and click on verify OTP. If you
do not receive an
OTP, click on the Retry on Call option. The Candidate will then receive an OTP
through a call.

- 12. After the OTP is verified, candidates will be assigned their Application ID.
This ID is to
be preserved by the Candidate throughout this process.

- 13. To fill in the qualification details, candidates need to log in with their
Application ID
and Password.

- 14. The next step is to select a Scrutiny Mode. Candidates can select E-Scrutiny
Mode or
Physical Scrutiny Mode. Candidates must read the process for both modes and
select the Scrutiny
mode that's convenient for them.

- 15. Candidates need to complete the 10 Steps to submit their application form
through E-Scrutiny
Mode. This is for E-scrutiny Mode.

- 16. Select the Candidate type in the next step according to the instructions and
click on Save
and Proceed.

- 17. The next step requires candidates to fill in their personal details and
upload the required
documents.



- 18. Fill in all your qualification details carefully in the next steps.

- 19. Candidates need to upload their passport size photo and signature. The
photos need to be in
jpg/ jpeg/png format). After selecting a photo, click on the upload option.

- 20. Click on the Save and Proceed button after uploading the photo and
signature.

- 21. Candidates will be required to upload all the documents according to the
information they've
filled in before. After uploading all the documents, click on the save and
proceed button.

- 22. The next step is fees payment. Candidates are required to pay the
application fees. They are
shown the total fees applicable. Press on the Save and Proceed button, and it
will take you to
the Payment Gateway Page.

- 23. Now the candidates are required to pay the application fees through Credit
Card/ Debit Card/
Net Banking, UPI or QR Code. Any other mode of payment is strictly prohibited.
- 24. Candidates are then shown their copy of the application form and can edit or
refill the
information if needed before submitting it. Review the application and confirm
that your details
are correct before confirming or submitting the form.

- 25. Click on the Submit Application Form for E-Verification after checking and
reviewing the
filled data.
- 26. Candidates will be required to enter their login password and click on the
verify password
button.

- 27. An OPT will be sent to your mobile. Verify the OTP, and once it's verified,
your application
will be sent for E-Scrutiny, and a copy of your application form will be
available to you.

- 28. Following the submission of the form, take a printout of the application and
sign it.

- HSC and SSC Marksheet
- MHT CET Marksheet or JEE Mains Marksheet
- Domicile Certificate ( if Necessary)
- Category Certificate ( for Reserved Category Candidates)
- Physical Disability Certificate ( For PH Category Candidates)
- Income Certificate ( For students applying under Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme)
- Passport Size Photos
- Aadhar Card
- Address Proof
- Leaving Certificate
- Caste Certificate ( for Reserved Category)
- Non Creamy Layer Certificate (for OBC/ SBC/ VJNT)
- Nationality Certificate
- Pan Card
